Several times a year we hit the road with our wool and yarn, and look forward to meeting old and new fiber and knitting friends at festivals and markets. Below is a list of events for the coming year. Stop in and see us if you happen to be at one of these great gatherings. I have also included a few of the major farm happenings to give you a feel for what is happening on the farm.

December 2008

  • Winter Farmer’s Market, St Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church, Brackett, WI
    (Dec 13, 9-1:00)

  • The Winter Farmer’s Markets are an extension of the Downtown Eau Claire Markets. They are held at different churches in the community on the second Saturday of the month during the off season of the downtown market. The vendors sell local meats, dairy product, soap, honey and bake goods. For more info please email me.

  • Breeding season for the sheep. The beginning of another lambing cycle for us.

March 2009

  • Winter Farmer’s Market, Hope United Methodist, Eau Claire, WI
    (March 14, 9-1:00)

  • We enter mud season--not always the prettiest time of year on the farm.

April 2009

  • Winter Farmer’s Market, First Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, WI
    (April 4, 9-1:00)

  • Shearing the sheep usually takes place during the middle of April. We are lucky to have our skilled shearer come to remove our girls beautiful fleeces. Fleeces are skirted and made available for sale shortly after shearing.

  • The excitement of lambing begins just after shearing.

May 2009

  • Shepherd’s Harvest, Lake Elmo, MN
    (May 9 & 10)

  • This is a great little fiber festival with lots to see and do for everyone. We will have a booth again this year. More info...

  • Eau Claire Downtown Farmer’s Market, Phoenix Park, Eau Claire, WI

  • We often take part in this market during the early and late season. Our dates of participation vary depending on space and time constraints. Contact me for more info
